Planning Your Stay & Things To Know

Early Setup Fee:
The contract allows two hours prior to the event time for set up. This is adequate time for a florist to set up, but additional time may be needed if you are providing your own décor and need to get ready. An early set up fee of $100 may be added to your contract to allow set up by 11am. This fee will bring a staff member in late the night before or early the morning of to place the interior tables & chairs in place with your table linen. The catering staff will arrive (2) hours prior to place the napkins, anything outside and begin their set up process. Please email to request this service be added to your contract. Candles: Real candles are permitted as long as the wax is contained (does not drip on linen) and the flame is not completely exposed. A votive, hurricane, or floating candles are fine.

Inclement Weather:
Plan A: ceremony in gazebo, cocktail hour inside or out, dining inside and dancing outside on the brick in front of the gazebo, under the market lights. Plan B: ceremony can be on the covered veranda (seats about 70) couple between the columns (at the top of the stairs) and wedding party along the banisters. Additional guests may be in the dining room facing out. Plan C: ceremony can be in the center of the French doors in the main dining room, guests may be seated at dining tables (any chairs may be turned to face ceremony, if needed). Additional perimeter standing for larger events. A last minute option is in front of the front doors. We can place a dozen chairs for elderly and VIP guests, bride may descend the interior staircase and guests would stand in the foyer facing the front doors and, in the parlor, facing the front. Tent rental requires (8) weeks plus prior to event to: reserve the tent, prep tent, pull a permit to install and then you decide the day of if they construct the tent or not. Dancing may be on the covered veranda or inside. |
Parking:
Complimentary parking: (two-story brick parking garage at the end of the street). 500 Delaney Avenue, Orlando, Fl. 32801. Lower and upper level available (Saturday & Sunday and after 4pm weekdays). The circle in front of the home holds about (10) cars. Parking passes are not required for the garage, the circle or behind the home. We recommend that you include the parking information (and the address) for your guests. A yard sign is recommended to assist your guests to both levels of the garage and to direct them down Lucerne Circle North to the front of the Dr. Phillips House. The circle in front of the home is public parking and we are unable to prevent anyone from parking there. Ramp access: parking behind the home has access to a handicap ramp: this lot is on the intersection of Rosalind Avenue & Anderson Street, directly under the overpass.
